Our approach

Care that sees the whole child

We look beyond communication challenges to understand each child's strengths, environment, culture and identity — and we honour the way they communicate rather than trying to change it.

01

Holistic, whole-child support

We consider your child's sensory needs, routines, culture and emotional wellbeing, so support fits seamlessly into everyday life and makes practical, meaningful change.

02

Neuro-affirming care

We embrace neurodiversity and each child's natural communication style, empowering them to express themselves authentically — without pressure to mask or conform.

03

Collaborative partnerships

We work closely with families, educators and other professionals, so every child has a consistent, supportive team around them and outcomes that last.

Therapy in the real world

Children learn best in the places they already live

Skills practised at a clinic desk don't always travel home. We bring therapy into your child's everyday routines, so progress sticks where it matters most — visiting families right across Melbourne's South-East.

At home

Around mealtimes, bath time and play — we coach families to weave practice into the day.

At kinder & childcare

We partner with educators within everyday routines so support carries through the whole week.

At school

Classroom-friendly goals and teacher collaboration that align with the curriculum.

Or by telehealth

Secure video sessions for families anywhere in Victoria — flexible when life gets busy.

You don't need a referral to begin privately. Here's how your family's journey with Lumina usually unfolds.

  1. Say hello

Send a referral online or call us for a free, no-obligation chat about your child and your hopes.

  2. Assessment

A relaxed, play-based assessment in your child's natural setting to understand their strengths.

  3. A plan together

Clear, NDIS-ready goals built with you — written in plain language, not jargon.

  4. Therapy that sticks

Regular sessions plus simple home strategies, with progress reviewed as we go.

"Our daughter went from a handful of words to telling us about her whole day. Having therapy at home meant she never had to be the nervous kid in a waiting room — and Aaisha truly celebrated who she is."
